Baby Driver I have chosen to write about the opening scene from the movie Baby Driver. In the scene, Baby(Ansel Elgort) drives 3 adults to a bank which they rob and he drives the 'getaway car' and in doing so manages to dodge the police chasing them all whilst listening to his playlist on his phone. This scene uses close up shots, medium shots and long shots...  The close up shots are used to show the concentration on Baby's face while he is driving and avoiding the police. It is also used to show fear among the passengers of the car as they don't have any idea if they are going to crash or get caught by the police. The King's Speech

The King's Speech 1) State how costume (as an element of mise-en-scene) makes us as an audience feel an emotion/opinion of/for/about a particular character in the film you have chosen : In the film that I have chosen the costumes show how important the characters are. For example the King wears a very neat, plain and clean suit which shows that he is important compared to the speech therapist who was wearing a patterned suit that wasn't as tidy. The King's suit is also more formal. 2) How is the micro element of sound used in the opening 2 minutes of the film? : In the opening 2 minutes of the film, sound is used to build up tension.
