The King's Speech
The King's Speech 1) State how costume (as an element of mise-en-scene) makes us as an audience feel an emotion/opinion of/for/about a particular character in the film you have chosen : In the film that I have chosen the costumes show how important the characters are. For example the King wears a very neat, plain and clean suit which shows that he is important compared to the speech therapist who was wearing a patterned suit that wasn't as tidy. The King's suit is also more formal. 2) How is the micro element of sound used in the opening 2 minutes of the film? : In the opening 2 minutes of the film, sound is used to build up tension. There is a score playing and towards the end of the opening 2 minutes there is an element of diagetic dialogue from a few characters. 3) Apply narative theory to the film you have chosen : In the film the equilibrium is the Duke of York has a stutter and his brother is next in line to be king.
